Alison and Giles marked the end of an era in style, hosting a unique farewell event with friends before their big move. Their choice of activity? A spirited day out in our classic 2CV cars, for an equally unique car experience embracing the charm of vintage motoring and the unpredictability of British weather.
Despite a rainy start, the group wasted no time diving into the fun. Guests navigated the winding countryside roads, tackling gear changes, deciphering quiz clues, and keeping track of turns—all while splashing through puddles with gusto.
Lunch at The Milbury’s on the picturesque Winchester Downs offered a welcome pause. Known for its delicious sharing menu, the pub provided the perfect setting to recharge and share laughs about the morning’s escapades. When the group stepped outside, the rain had eased, and sunshine peeked through the clouds.
The second half of the journey saw the group continue their self-guided driving adventure, going uphill and down dale, so to speak. Experiencing the charming english countryside vistas across the South Downs, with the 2CVs bowling along in their vintage classic car glory. Back at base, the day concluded with tea, cake, and heartfelt goodbyes.
